Juniors programme
The Juniors Programme has the second largest membership in the Boys' Brigade in Singapore (BB). Conducted in the Primary Schools, Boys aged 8 to 12 years old attend weekly parades to develop practical skills through an exciting array of activities. Through these weekly parades, camps and bonding activities, Boys are developed in the following aspects:
![]() Global Awareness Through projects and information technology modules, Boys connect with the rich history and legacy of BB as a local, regional and global movement, and develop a personal sense of mission as a member of the organisation. | ![]() Community Spiritedness Boys explore the different groups of people and social needs present in their neighbourhood and team up with others to plan and execute a community service project. | ![]() Personal Mastery Boys identify with mental and physical disciplines such as time management, squad drills and quiet reflection to grow in their personal effectiveness and preparedness. | ![]() Leadership Boys discover the basic building blocks of relational influence in the foundational leadership habits of encouragement, social initiative, trustworthiness and service to others. They learn to lead their peers through the roles assigned to them. |

However, with my instructors’ firm but patient guidance, I slowly began to change. I learned to listen, follow instructions and behave better. Over time, I became more attentive and responsible. The Boys’ Brigade taught me much more than drills, knot-tying, and fun activities. It instilled in me important values such as respect and caring for the community that I carry with me every day." Junior Ruedera Gabriel Tay 49J Singapore Company St. Hilda’s Primary Schooll | ![]() "The Boys’ Brigade has taught me how to be a positive role model for my peers. When I was appointed as a Squad Leader, I took on more responsibilities, from helping my squad with tasks like correcting drill movements to larger responsibilities such as guiding my peers to pitch a tent. I developed new friendships with other BB Boys who helped me to improve my various skills. Through this, our friendships deepened. I learned to step up when opportunities arose and not to be afraid to take initiative. This newfound confidence extended beyond BB, and I began helping out more at home, taking the initiative with chores."
