EXPLORERS PROGRAMME

Realising the growing need to cater to the number of younger children in Singapore, The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore partnered with The Girls’ Brigade Singapore to develop a brand new programme for both Boys and Girls aged 5 through 6 (K1 and K2).  ‘The Explorers’ is a Community Development Programme birthed from this new initiative.

Our young Explorers are taken on a 2-year journey spanning four Discovery Islands which help them:

  • Discover the world around them 
  • Discover their place in the world 
  • Discover the needs of others 
  • Discover themselves

A typical discovery programme run every week for the Explorers is made up of 4 components (W.H.A.T.). Each component is described below:

Welcome!

We start the day with roll-calls, 
warm up, songs and the likes to 
get kids excited and ready!

Hear!

A life lesson or story from a 
chosen topic or value is shared 
to the kids!

Action!

The kids engage in a learning 
activity based on one of 
the achievable awards!

Time!

The day ends with time allocated 
for playing and/or reflecting on 
what they learned!

Uniform

uniform.jpgWhile they engage in their activities, the Explorers are dressed in:
1. Kindergarten Attire
2. Explorers Vest with badges
3. Hat
