The Boys' Brigade
The Boys’ Brigade is a uniformed youth organisation that seeks to nurture Youths, based on Christian values, to serve and lead. Through various programmes and meaningful activities, and with volunteer adult leaders as role models and mentors, we guide our members in the learning of important values and build character. MANAGER / EXECUTIVE (STAKEHOLDER ENGAGMENT)
Responsibilities:
This department strategizes to engage the Brigade’s various stakeholders, partners, donors, and supporters, so that the Brigade and its BB units can operate well with its various partners and build up donor base for a more financially robust Brigade.
- The staff will therefore need to:
- Lead the Department team of staff, coordinating their work, coaching performance, and motivating them towards organisational goals (for Manager position)
- Prepare and coordinate interviews, media releases, speeches, marketing collaterals, publications, videos, and other promotional materials
- Be responsible for website and social media content and updates
- Communicate and engage with stakeholders and partners in relation to starting new BB units and the overall health of each unit
- Work with and support BB volunteers and teachers in ensuring BB units are operating well
- Develop materials and resources for BB units to use to recruit new members and volunteers
- Be responsible for the donor management system; manage existing donors while growing the donor database
- Plan, organise and execute fundraising campaigns / events / activities
Requirements:
- Possess Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree
- Managerial and staff supervision experience (for Manager position)
- Good interpersonal, communication and organising skills
- Ability to create short videos and graphic collaterals will be an advantage
- Able to work independently but also a team player working towards shared goals
- Willing to work with volunteers on some evenings and Saturdays
- Have an excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Have good knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint
MANAGER / EXECUTIVE (PROGRAMMES)
Responsibilities:
The Programmes Department
creates, develop, and executes national events and activities for some 6,000 members
in over 100 BB Companies across the nation.
We drive national policies and rally over 700 volunteers to deliver
programmes of the highest standards. We
update curriculum and training methods, as well as offer support to assigned
volunteer committees in our endeavour to spearhead leading programmes at a
national level.
The staff will therefore need to:
- Lead the Department team of staff, coordinating their work, coaching performance, and motivating them towards organisational goals (for Manager position)
- Ensure curriculum/badgework content is relevant, appealing, and well-resourced for all levels of membership
- Develop new content for both in-person and virtual programmes/activities for members
- Identify and engage new programme partners/providers to enhance programme offerings
- Organise national level events, competitions, and award presentations
- Organise national training and courses for Boys and Officers
- Work with and support volunteers
- Motivate BB units to strive towards excellence in utilising the BB Programme to develop children and youths
Requirements:
- Possess Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree
- Managerial and staff

CORPORATE SERVICES EXECUTIVE / ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
The Corporate Services Department is responsible for the equipping of
our BB members with their uniform and accoutrements, the office facilities and
services, and general administrative duties.
The staff will therefore need to:
· Provide secretarial support
to the facilities and campsite management committees (coordination of meetings,
recording of minutes, preparation of reports, etc.)

Provide general
administrative support to the office such as data entry, records filing and
documentation
·
Assist the department work
as covering staff or during busy periods (BB Shop, Facilities Management)
·
Perform front desk duties,
receiving guests and visitors, handling inbound phone calls
·
Collect and distribute mails
received, make courier arrangements, and send out external mail
·
Oversee office
administration and upkeep such as ordering of stationery and pantry supplies,
maintenance of office equipment, etc.
Requirements:

Possess NiTEC, Diploma,
Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree
·
Organised and meticulous
·
Pleasant composure, cheerful
disposition, good phone etiquette and service orientated attitude
·
Able to work independently
but also a team player working towards shared goals
·
Willing to meet and work
with volunteers on some evenings and Saturdays
·
Have an excellent command
of English, both written and spoken
· Have good knowledge of computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
