The Boys' Brigade
The Boys’ Brigade is a uniformed youth organisation that seeks to nurture Youths, based on Christian values, to serve and lead. Through various programmes and meaningful activities, and with volunteer adult leaders as role models and mentors, we guide our members in the learning of important values and build character. EXECUTIVE (PROGRAMMES)
Responsibilities:
The Programmes Department
creates, develop, and executes national events and activities for some 6,000 members
in over 100 BB Companies across the nation.
We drive national policies and rally over 700 volunteers to deliver
programmes of the highest standards. We
update curriculum and training methods, as well as offer support to assigned
volunteer committees in our endeavour to spearhead leading programmes at a
national level.
The staff will therefore need to:
- Ensure curriculum/badgework content is relevant, appealing, and well-resourced for all levels of membership
- Develop new content for both in-person and virtual programmes/activities for members
- Identify and engage new programme partners/providers to enhance programme offerings
- Organise national level events, competitions, and award presentations
- Organise national training and courses for Boys and Officers
- Work with and support volunteers
- Motivate BB units to strive towards excellence in utilising the BB Programme to develop children and youths
Requirements:
- Possess Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree
- Managerial and staff
supervision experience (for Manager position)
- Appreciation
of youth trends and developments
- Good
interpersonal, communication and organising skills
- Able to
work independently but also a team player working towards shared goals
- Willing
to work with volunteers on some evenings and Saturdays
- Have an
excellent command of English both written and spoken.
- Proficient in using Email, MS Office, videoconference,
and e-learning tools
administrative ASSISTANT
Responsibilities:
The Corporate Services Department is responsible for the equipping of
our BB members with their uniform and accoutrements, the office facilities and
services, and general administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant is part of this team.
The staff will therefore need to:
· Provide secretarial support
to the facilities and campsite management committees (coordination of meetings,
recording of minutes, preparation of reports, etc.)
· Provide general
administrative support to the office such as data entry, records filing and
documentation
· Assist the department work
as covering staff or during busy periods (BB Shop, Facilities Management)
· Perform front desk duties,
receiving guests and visitors, handling inbound phone calls
· Collect and distribute mails
received, make courier arrangements, and send out external mail
· Oversee office
administration and upkeep such as ordering of stationery and pantry supplies,
maintenance of office equipment, etc.
Requirements:
· Possess NiTEC or Diploma
·
Organised and meticulous
·
Pleasant composure, cheerful
disposition, good phone etiquette and service orientated attitude
·
Able to work independently
but also a team player working towards shared goals
·
Willing to meet and work
with volunteers on some evenings and Saturdays

Have an excellent command

· Have good knowledge of computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
shop assistant
As part of the Corporate Services Department, the staff is responsible for overseeing the operations of the BB Shop, which equips our members with their uniform, awards and resources. The Shop also produces souvenirs for members and BB school units. The staff will therefore need to:

• Recognised Diploma / Certification in a relevant field (e.g., inventory, retail)
• Relevant experience in retail service and/or inventory management
• Neat, organised and meticulous
• Pleasant, courteous and service oriented
• Able to carry heavy inventory
• Able to work independently but also a team player working towards shared goals
• Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office

Working hours: Mon, Wed, Thu and Fri (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.); Tue (10.30
a.m. to 7.30 p.m.)
Sat (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
