The Boys’ Brigade is a uniformed youth organisation that seeks to nurture Youths, based on Christian values, to serve and lead. Through various programmes and meaningful activities, and with volunteer adult leaders as role models and mentors, we guide our members in the learning of important values and build character.  If you are like-minded and believe in the potential of our young people, you could be the person we’re looking for.


EXECUTIVE/SENIOR EXECUTIVE (90TH ANNIVERSARY)

Responsibilities: 

The staff is responsible for overseeing and executing the celebration events and activities. Working with the organising committee to fulfil the objectives of the celebratory events, the staff will need to assist the committee to raise operational funds through sponsors, engage corporate partners, and coordinate operations, logistics and manpower.

REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma or Degree from a recognized university 
Two or more years of working experience in a related area would be advantageous
Good interpersonal, communication and organising skills
Able to work independently but also a team player working towards shared goals
Willing to put in extra time to work with volunteers on some evenings and Saturdays
Have an excellent command of English both written and spoken.
Have good knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

MANAGER / EXECUTIVE (CORPORATE SERVICES)

Responsibilities:

The Corporate Services Department is responsible for the building and facilities, the BB Shop (for equipping members), and Finance and Administration. This person will work with the Corporate Services team to provide support to these areas by assisting the head of department to ensure that process and procedures are well established. The staff will also need to assist in managing vendors and inventory, and maintain the various governance manuals. 

The staff will therefore need to:
Formulate, review and  update policy and procedures of the department and the Brigade
Evaluate suppliers and vendors for the shop, purchasing inventory and ensuring quality of products and suitable inventory levels
Upgrade / integrate database platforms
Ensuring private data of members and volunteers are properly managed and protected
Work with IT vendor / contractors to ensure office IT is operating efficiently

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree from a recognized university 
Good interpersonal, communication and organising skills
Able to work independently but also a team player working towards shared goals
Have an excellent command of English both written and spoken.
Have good knowledge of computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

EXECUTIVE (PROJECTS)

Responsibilities:

The Projects Department looks after the Brigade’s national level community programmes involving BB members and stakeholders in order to bless others in the various communities in Singapore.  It also organises various events and projects such as award presentations and appreciation programmes.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
This Administrative Assistant is responsible for the general administrative needs of the office.  This will include the managing of our volunteer/alumni databases and emails, and receiving phone calls and visitors.

REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Diploma preferably in Business Administration
  • Possess good oral and written communications
  • Have good knowledge of computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organisation and administrative skills
  • Meticulous
  • Pleasant, courteous and service oriented
  • An independent worker but also a team player working towards shared goals
