BB Leaders Retreat 2011
On 14 May 2011 (Sat), members of the Brigade Executive gathered at the MESRC Lounge at the MOE Co-Curricular Activities Branch for a day of planning and discussion as the Brigade moves forward into the coming years.
The day began with fellowship over a hearty breakfast, followed by a time of singspiration led by Mr Desmond Koh, Executive Director. The Brigade Chaplain, Rev Malcolm Tan, then encouraged them with a devotional sharing on the concept of mentoring Boys.
The Training Committee Chairman, Mr Wesley Cheong, led in the energizers for the day. Mr Wilson Tay, Chairman of the Seniors Programme Committee, presented on current youth trends and the MOE’s 21st Century Competencies and the desired outcomes of students in schools, which the BB programme should align itself with.
The Brigade Executive split up into smaller groups for a fruitful time of discussion. These were centred on the kind of BB Boy Companies should develop, and improvements needed for BB Programmes, Officers training, and other support structures, so as to improve Brigade programmes and operations in the coming years.
