VAL Induction Course

 

MOE CCAB has advised that the first VAL Induction Course for 2010 is on 10th April 2010, Saturday. Officers who want to apply for VAL status for the 1st time have to attend this one-time course before being applying for VAL status. VALs who were appointed before 2007 and have not attended the Induction Course should also attend.

This is a one-time compulsory course. Officers who have attended it before need not attend again.

 

 

VAL Application Form

 

The VAL Application Form has been revised by MOE CCAB and the new version can be found on the BB Officers Online Portal > Resources > Officers > Forms. Officers who are applying VAL status for the first time, or renewing their VAL status, should download this form from the Portal.

 

Kindly note that all details in the form should be filled up, and a passport photo of the applicant should also be affixed. It is a requirement of MOE CCAB that the Immediate Supervisor’s comments be filled up. Immediate Supervisor refers to the Captain or Chaplain. The completed form should be endorsed by the Sponsoring School Principal before it is sent to the Brigade Office for endorsement.

 

VAL applicants should be 21 years old and above and must have completed the Basic Officers Training Course (BOTC) conducted by the Brigade Office.

 

The next submission deadline for completed VAL Application Forms to the Brigade Office is 16 April 2010, Friday.
