It is important for Primers to know that they have a part to play in the community they live in and in the country which they are citizens of. The thrust of Citizenship Course is to motivate them to be active citizens.
The aim is to allow the Primers to learn to accept his citizenship role and responsibility and base it on Christian principles and values. It takes the form of a series of self-preparation, small group discussions and talks, each based on a specific aspect of citizenship. The main aspects to be covered are:

• Parliamentary democracy

• Racial and religious harmony
• Community involvement
• Service to others
• Care for the Environment
• National service
