The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) Project 2016 drew to a close on 19 December with parents and families of the BB Boys lending a hand in the packing process. Thirteen families came together and worked hard to pack 200 hampers for at least 100 beneficiaries. This activity was especially meaningful for the families that were present as it was the first time for many of them at The Boys’ Brigade Headquarters. It was also an opportunity for them to contribute to the project together as a family, and learn more about the logistical scale and efforts needed to run the charity project not usually seen by members of the public.
The project, which was launched on 25 November 2016, has successfully achieved its target to fulfil the wishes of 38,317 beneficiaries. Mr Lui Chong Chee, Chairman of The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift 2016 Committee, extended his appreciation to the unwavering support from our sponsors, partners, donors and volunteers who had given generously to the project.
The Boys’ Brigade would like to thank all volunteers, BB Officers, Boys and members of the public for joining us in bringing cheer to the less fortunate this Christmas season. We look forward to seeing you next year!
