BBSG Opening Ceremony 24 Nov 11

BB Share-A-Gift 2011 was officially launched on 24 Nov 2011 at the BB Share-A-Gift Main Box, situated at the AMK Hub, in the Ang Mo Kio heartlands.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam, who was our Guest-of-Honour and Patron, officially launched the project with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the BBSG Main Box.  The President of Singapore personally shopped for the beneficiaries by purchasing items such as rice, oil, biscuits and other essential groceries at Fairprice Xtra.  He deposited the food items at the satellite gift box in the supermarket.  The residents were delighted to see President Tony Tan Keng Yam and many rushed up to shake hands with him and get his autograph.

Five elderly beneficiaries also had the special privilege of receiving the BBSG food hampers personally from the President of Singapore during the event.
