BB Pipes & Drums Learning Fiesta 2010

66 Boys attended the BB Pipes & Drums Learning Fiesta held at Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School on 17 July 2010.

 

The objectives of the sharing and interaction session were:

1. Getting to know each band's learning methods and culture

2. Come out with a new set of mass band tunes and to standardize it

3. Interaction between band members (Boys, Primers, and Officers)

 

The Boys gathered in the morning for a short singspiration. Thereafter, Mr Ong Wey Shi, 12BR Singapore Company, Chairman of the event shared words of encouragement and advice to our Band members.

 

 

There was a sharing session of respective band cultures, and an update of performances and competitions from each band.

 

 

A round of games to break the ice between Companies.

 

 

Boys were split into groups to hone their skills in pipes and drums. Our Primers, Officers and leaders assisted in the instructing.

 

 

 

At the end of the Fiesta, various bands put up performances to showcase their skills and talents.

 

It was indeed a wonderful time of fellowship, and bands were united as they motivated and encouraged one another to achieve greater heights.
